Quick Answer
A stable Wizard does not prepare only damage. Use Grease, Fog, Web, Counterspell, and terrain control to shape fights, then finish with Magic Missile or Fireball. Evocation is forgiving for new players.
Recommended Route
| Stage | What To Do | Watch Out |
|---|---|---|
| Opening | Prepare Magic Missile and at least one control spell | Reliable impact beats gambling |
| Scrolls | Learn rituals, control, and defense first | Do not buy only duplicate damage |
| After level 5 | Fireball groups, Counterspell disasters | Save slots for real fights |
| Positioning | Stay high or backline and protect concentration | Use mobility or allies when rushed |
Key Checks
- Prepared spells can be changed; adjust before new zones.
- Magic Missile is excellent for finishers and concentration breaks.
- Scrolls are tools, not museum pieces.
