Back to Game Site Quick Answer
When a material blocks an upgrade, first identify whether it comes from ore, bonepiles, monster parts, captures or breaks, or quest rewards. Do not simply repeat the same hunt. Many material walls come from checking the wrong source.
Source Check
Material type Check first Ores Gathering nodes and map area Bones Bonepiles, quest region, exploration route Monster parts Head, tail, wing, or other part targets Rare drops Captures, investigations, quest rewards, harder targets Item materials Gather along low-pressure routes
Farming Route
Pick the exact weapon or armor target.
Trace the key materials backward.
Split gathering materials from monster materials.
For monster parts, check break and capture conditions.
If the drop is low, change quest type or target route.
Common Mistakes
Mistake Better route Killing the same monster repeatedly without checking source Verify the material source first Wanting part materials without part breaks Bring a weapon that can reach the target part Gathering during high-pressure hunts Run separate gathering routes Spreading materials across many weapons Focus the main weapon first
